Allison L. Rosenberg,

Senior Consultant, Retirement Plans

Why I get up in the morning:
For me, getting up in the morning is always going to be about the people I’ll be seeing. A fresh day brings an opportunity to meet someone new or make a connection with an employee or client. I enjoy learning more about the people I work with, hearing their stories, and allowing others to get to know me better as well.

How I got here:
I have always been a teacher and it is something that I absolutely love. I started my career teaching elementary school, and then served as a teacher trainer in the Peace Corps, before finally finding my passion: teaching financial wellness and retirement planning. For the past 19 years, I’ve worked with employees and employers in designing and improving retirement plans, increasing understanding about how these plans actually work, and helping people make decisions that will improve their financial picture and retirement possibilities. I have both a BA and MA in education, hold FINRA Series 6, Series 63, and Series 7 securities registrations, and have a sincere interest in financial wellness and planning. When these skills and knowledge combine, it allows me to teach people about concepts they may find stressful, overwhelming, or confusing – in a positive and inspiring way.

What I do really well:
I am a people person and enjoy making connections with people I encounter. Additionally, I find that I can put people at ease when discussing financial matters; creating an environment where people can safely and comfortably ask the questions they may be nervous about asking or share their comments or concerns about their personal situation. This allows me to get a deeper understanding of a person and provide the best guidance or advice possible.

Who I am really:
When my husband Adam and I were dating, we talked about what it would be like to raise a family overseas. We are both Returned Peace Corps Volunteers, so traveling and seeing what life is like in different parts of the world are shared goals. We lived in Washington, DC for 10 years and experienced most major life events there: we got married, bought our first home, and had 2 kids, Frances and Moses. In 2022 life moved us to Jakarta, Indonesia, and we’ve been here ever since
